Did you know that for a long while Malta formed part of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies?

In 1530 Charles V granted the islands of Malta and Gozo, which had been part of the Kingdom of Sicily, to the Knights Hospitaller (thereafter known as the Order of Malta).
